Hi Andy, The initial Dance had two springs, on attached to the stulus bar, and one hooked to the top of the diaphragm and then to a cross bar right where the sound tube is connected to the top plate. I have one that only has the one spring (like the Edisonics, attached to the stylus only),but has an added NS designation in the serial number along with the usual LD. Steve and I think this was Edison using up existing stock when the Edisonics were introduced.
