Rene's hidden ipod idea is a good one, and altho we don't do that in our
old cars (baseball or "oldies" AM stations fit well in 60's vintage stuff)
there're lots of nice portable ipod speaker systems out there.

and it works like a champ.  you could hide it under the dash or seat
pretty easily - and you have the option of battery or AC power.
