Fellow Collectors,

As always, thanks for your input in this thread. I enjoy reading each new
email! I don't think that I am the only collector of vintage phonographs that
tells himself, or to his wife (so many times) that after my next find and
purchase, I am complete and will not buy another phonograph. These are famous
last
words in my house. Even though we have long since run out of room
(phonographs in the bathrooms), and really should be sticking aside some money
for some
college books (our oldest will be entering the University of South Carolina in
a couple of years), I am always on the prowl for that next machine. I can't
explain it. I guess our local psychiatrist could, or at least provide a term
for it.

I really do (I'm telling myself) only desire just four more machines before I
die. Three of the four are the more pricier ones, and the fourth is a more
common player (Edison 50 Amberola) and is in the price range that I will feel
not so guilty when I get it.

I have talked myself out of a Victor Schoolhouse for years, but have now
decided that before I wrap it up, I do want one. Do any of you fellow members
have one? Each time I see or hear of one I always think of my wonderful
Grandmother for some reason.

If any of you have one for sale, or a good lead on one, please send this
fellow collector a line. Thanks much to all and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Mirek Stehlik is out of his excellent Zonophone Concert-V reproduction
reproducers. I need one, if anyone has one collecting dust they can part with.
Contact me off Phono-L. I am also interested in buying the 3-screw closed face
reproduction Zonophone reproducers from the late ' 70's. I am embarassed that I
cannot credit the maker of these high quality closed faced reproductions. I
only own one. Again, contact me off Phono-L. My e-mail is at the end of this
e-mail.

I will be going to Union in June. I have 2 (two) Zonophone Grand Opera front
mounts for sale. These have the beveled glass panel in the back of the case.
The cranks, reproducers, tone arms, and tone arm supports are excellent
reproductions. (Unfortunately, as any Zonophone collector will tell you, this
is quite common.) I finally have pictures to send you off Phono-L. Parts that
are not listed as reproduction are original! The prices are reasonable, based
upon the parts that are reproduction. I will bring them to Union if you are
also going to Union. If there is a dealer that we can arrange delivery through
to your part of the country after Union, I will work with you. Otherwise,
depending upon how much "haggling" goes on, I will pack and ship the machine to
you free. Anyone who has bought anything from me knows how meticulous I am when
it comes to packing. No skimping!

I also have a front mount Concert Grand, but do not have pictures yet.

If I cannot sell these machines through the list, they will be on ebay. I would
like to pre-sell these for Union delivery.

The site of Domenic DiBernardo has some excellent pictures of different models,
if you wonder what these machines look like. They are spectacular machines to
exhibit! (Domenic, what happened to your "Flemish" model? Also, I know what
your "unknown" models are. Let's do lunch. I'll have my people contact your
people!)

I know what you mean, there is always one more phono you need...I am like that
with instruments. My partner always asks why I need 5 harps, I can only play
one at a time. You guys understand that, right?
