I think there are three factors at play here. The first is that it has the original silk fabric. I thinka lotta guys dearly want that original fabric. Second is that it has not been refinished. Thirdly, and I think this has a lot to do with it, is the seller's description. The key to a sale on ebay is description. This guy has ballyhooed his machine as mightily as P.T. Barnum might have. There you have my two cents.
