These advertisements were added both without my knowledge or permission and I 
do *not* have a free account.  I pay for my AOL services and this angers me 
greatly.  I will look into having ads removed from my missives but don't expect 
much from AOL.  AOL is not responsive to customers needs.  Once they got 
involved with Time Warner it was "customer be ignored" as standard policy.  
They 
now offer AOL for free since those who where paying the fees left anyway.  The 
substitution for their revenue stream then became ads, apparently on even the 
old paying accounts.  I would gladly drop AOL but literally hundreds have come 
to know my email addresses in each of my eight screen names, one for each 
area of interest since I first went on line during AOL's first year of 
operation.
