Al,
No there shouldn't be any difference in carriages. You will have to  
carefully file down the outer circumference of the reproducer until it  
fits. Look for any rough edges that might be causing it not to seat.  
You may not have to take much material off to get it to seat. Make  
sure the reproducer set screw is all the way out first before filing!
