Hi Al, The only M I have ever seen with the copper oxidized weight was the early one with the flattened K type weight. The highest serial number I have seen is 5595. Unfortunately I am just beginning my research on these, but if you know of any with the copper oxidized weight I am most interested in photos.
The L had the oxidized weight, but I have never seen an M like that. Will an > Amberola 1-a mech. fit that well in an opera case? --------------- The Edison Amberola IA motor/chassis will not fit into a standard Edison Opera cabinet, since the mainspring barrels are too large and will hit the bottom of the case. So this cabinet must be a later re-make and the unusual side handles bear that out. Allen _www.phonobooks.com_ (http://www.phonobooks.com) **************Need a job? Find employment help in your area.
