Hi Rich, That was always my impression also until I noted that the Edisonic came out in March 1927 and the electrically recorded DD was released in October 1927. Then I noted the Edisonic was an improvement of the Dance that came out in March 1926. This made me believe that the improved reproducers and the improved records were separate improvements.
