Is there anything that I can do to adjust the reproducer? check the lubrication on the vertical screw that holds the over-hanging weight to the body of the reproducer. If the weight does not "sway" freely (side to side), you will get an echo. Take the screw out and oil it, and then put it back... allen **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? How could I forget? You ARE the Columbia guy! A concert grand reproducer came with my B-Y, it looks very orthophonic. Did the first grand have the mica diaphragm, if so, when did they switch over? It's just fine, but I'm wondering what did the later B-Ys come equipped with? I know the first machines had the analyzing ones, then changed to the grand in 1909, any other reproducer changes for the B-Y after that?
