Yoday, Jerry! So, whatever happened to the L-door at the Seattle meeting? I'd suggested, if I couldn't make it, you buy it and drop it off at my house on your way home, and I'd repair the leg toward the price of that record cabinet? You seemed to like that idea... Was it too damaged or did somebody else buy it? Jus' wunnerin'... How did that meeting go? Rod n' I, and possibly new members Bill Marks and Bruce Spainhower, intend to see y'all in May. All the Best!

It seems to have the correct Columbia motor and tone arm and reproducer, but as stated, there is no sign of it being mentioned in Baumbach's Columbia book. Did Columbia make custom made type desks where they did not include the traditional ID or trademark ? Regardless, this is certainly an exceptional furniture related phonograph piece. At the urging of one of the members I e-mailed Robert Baumbach to see what he thought as he authored the book on Columbia machines. I got a very nice e-mail back from him with a few pictures of another early regent machine with all the markings. Check out the updated messages to see Bob's information and pictures. http://victrolagramophones.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=294 Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: "Phonolist" <[email protected]> Cc: "Phono-L" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 29, 2009 5:43 AM Subject: [Phono-L] Columbia Art Model Desk Phonograph? > http://victrolagramophones.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=294 > > > Take a look at this beauty, there is discussion here centering on why > there is no Columbia ID on this gorgeous Art model type Graphonola.
