Dude you need to buy that machine, its a rarity. The nickel plate on the crank 
is cool, it says united states phonograph co doesn't it?
Machine needs work but will be worth it. If you can get it for less than $500, 
in my opinion that would be cheap. My 2 cents at least. I am jealous!!

OK boys & girs. 
I went back to auction house  and took more pix. 
The back was loose so I removed it to take motor pic.  
It indeed has a brass mandrel and carries serial 9272.
