I called him on the phone after the mailing to ask him where he got his needles 
and how he was doing.  

He said all his investments went bad so he could no longer do the Graphic or 
the needles, and his best friend died and some other bad things had happened to 
him.  His vintage car he had had since he was young that was his daily driver 
got totaled. He said it had taken him a year to get over all these things and 
he was now going to catch up on the needle orders and continue with the 
Graphic.  I waited a year and my check for the needles was not cashed so I 
figured he had changed his mind.

After that nothing else was heard from him until he started to sell needles on 
eBay.
