Hi, This is my first post to this list, I have been lurking here for quite a while. I am a casual collector, having a dozen machines that I have picked up over the last 25 years. I like my phonographs, but my primary collecting habits are stationary steam engines, gas engines and early, early tractors. Anyhow, I recently picked up a disc phonograph and am seeking information. The machine was sold by O'Neill-James Co. as "Yankee Prince". It is a rear mount disc machine, with a small morning glory horn, a rather plain oak case and a large, beautiful decal. It is complete and the motor runs, the soundbox and tone are look good, but the gaskets are in need of replacement. The only thing I see wrong is that someone removed the rectangular lug (ala Busy Bee) from the turntable so that they could play regular records. So, is this machine a model of the Busy Bee? Can anyone give me some details as to when it was made and by whom? I can get a picture and post a URL to it if anyone would care to see it. Thanks in advance for your help, Joe Prindle Baraboo, WI USA _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.oldcrank.org _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.oldcrank.org
