Hello All,
Actually, that is an English Regal machine from the Teens to Twenties.
Regal was a small off-shoot of the English Columbia Co. and may have been a
cheap export arm. It operated for Columbia in much the same way as
Zonophone was for Victor. I don't know much about them but they did sell a
number of rather simple horn machines like this with Swiss parts, as well as
a number of portable and hornless models. When HMV and Columbia merged into
EMI they merged their two cheap labels as Regal Zonophone.
You see their needle tims more that their machines.
Best,
George

It's hard to tell from the head on shot. My guess is that's an imported
machine with an American label. I could be wrong. The horn looks European to
me. It's really hard to put a value on the machine. From what I've seen, I'd
say it's worth $4-5 hundred. For some reason, European machines don't
command the prices like Victor, Columbia, etc. I personally like the
European machines. They have so much class to them.

Harvey,
Take a look at Jeff's picture that he posted on the Carolina Antique Music
and Phonograph Society Facebook page, as it is an outside horn machine, not
the Victrola clone that is pictured in the CAPS link. I haven't seen one
exactly like it...

Jeff,
This is a very interesting machine. Because it's an off-brand, they are
not worth as much like a Victor, columbia or Edison. I would say $200.00
tops for it.

Greetings:
I picked this Regal Phonograph up at auction over the weekend. I usually
dabble in mostly columbia machines, but picked this one instead. Can
anyone
tell me the value of the machine? I cant find much about the Regal Company
on
the web other than they were produced between 1915 and 1923. I did find
one
website that offered a lot of history:
http://www.capsnews.org/apn2006-1.htm
Does anyone know what this goes for these days.
