My experience is that if you have a piece you know is worth money, and you put a high minimum bid on it, many times no one will bid. If you put a low starting bid and a reserve price on it, many times you will exceed your expectations! I once listed an Edison Gem on eBay, a very nice model B, and I made the starting bid $250.00 and a reserve of $500.00. No one bid. I relisted with a starting bid of $25.00 and a reserve of $500.00, and it sold for $750!! John Robles

It sold for $229.49. So many people put things on eBay at top dollar and wonder why no one bids. There was even one item that had a buy it now for $75 and a starting bid of $9.99. At the first bid the buy it now went away and it sold for close to $100. _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.org _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.org
