I know this place. It is a two floor huge antique store in Solvang, CA, the
town founded by Danish educators. Charming place,. Anyhow, this place is chock
full of disc and cylinder music boxes and phonographs, I mean there is some
astounding stuff there, along with more common stuff. Problem is that all
prices are about 3-4 times what they should be. There was an Edison Amberola V
there for $1200.00. And a Victrola VI for $750. They have player pianos and
orchestrions, really nice stuff, all refurbished to showroom new
(unfortunately). I like to go in as if it is a museum and look at all the
stuff. But the prices are absolutely outrageous.

Subject: [Phono-L] Overpriced Victor "IV"

Is it just me or are these "experts" just too lazy to research what they have
for sale? Victor "IV" ???$12,500 - are you serious? It's still overpriced, even
if it's a VI...

I also like this overpriced "Victor Console Phonograph"...
