Now my 2 cents... I have read many posts that I wasn't particularly interested
in, or seemed to pertain to a particular subject, which didn't initially strike
me as interesting. That being said, I have learned a lot about the various
different viewpoints and personalities of the members who post on this list -
that is interesting in and of itself. Obviously, not everything that is said or
thought or posted on this list applies to each individual's specific interests,
but without differing interests, we might not be aware of some of the topics
that are discussed. I, for one, have learned a lot about restoration, stylus
characteristics and dimensions, various types of phonographs, wax cylinder
recording methods, how to care for records, personal health issues of various
different people, how to digitally measure the rpms of a particular machine,
humor, early rare machines that I will never own - the list goes on, and on,
and on. The point is, if everyone stuck to a particular s
ubject, I wouldn't have learned as much from these varied posts - who cares
what they are? Post away, if I don't want to read it, I'll delete it...
