Phono folk:

I am having difficulty in finding a reproducer for a Columbia VIVA-TONAL
suitcase machine which I think came out in the late teens . the reproducer
is "cast" and the portion recessed in the tone arm, was swollen & froze,
subsequently broke / crumbled when being removed.

Does anyone have one which is workable, or at least salvageable for parts
which I may be able to use to assemble a usable reproducer?

I did consult with George & Duane with no luck.

I did find a Kimble reproducer which fits the recess however, the diameter
of the reproducer is to large and when resting in the cradle, the lid will
not close. The diameter of the reproducer needs to be 2 7/16 or less to
work. Tight tolerances with this compact machine.

I really would like to find a workable replacement.

Later

Bob
