Harvey, for that starting price - $3,500 or buy it now - $5,000, you would have to be a sucker to pay that for a portable Victrola. Without any real documentation, the claim is invalid and even if it was Al Jolson's would you pay that for a portable? How about Elvis' electric RCA portable or Gladys Knight's Sony Walkman?
