The Outreach Committee of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) posts the following message.
--- SAVE THE DATES: 2015 ARSC CONFERENCE, PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA --- The 49th annual ARSC Conference will be held May 27-30, 2015 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The city offers miles of riverfront trails and a vibrant downtown cultural district with many attractions including the Andy Warhol Museum, Heinz Hall, Heinz History Center, August Wilson Center for African American Culture, ToonSeum, and the Mattress Factory museum of contemporary art. The hotel is across the Allegheny River from the Pirates' PNC Park. Premium department stores and boutique shops are five minutes away, by foot. The Strip shopping district, one mile from the hotel, offers a variety of ethnic grocers, produce stands, meat and fish markets, and sidewalk vendors. Amtrak and Greyhound stations, and reduced-rate parking are conveniently located across from the hotel. "From Idea to Deliverable: Planning and Executing Your Grant-Funded Project," the pre-conference workshop, will be held on May 27, 2015.
