To Loran, First, let me say that I have the highest respect for you and all that you have accomplished with Phono-L. I have faithfully read and learned much from Phono-L since I started in the hobby in 2000. I understand the need for proper identification of all posts on Phono-L to maintain the integrity of the newsgroup
I'm a little less happy about the maelstrom created by Steve Ramm when I posted an obituary notice for a dear friend, Charlie Martin, on Christmas Eve. In the midst of a very busy day, I posted the same announcement to several sites so that Charlie's friends would be aware of his passing. I believe Mr. Ramm knew Charlie and had been to his shop. I received many thanks from Charlie's friends and even compliments on the video of "The Place" on the other sites. I guess I owe Steve Ramm an apology. Apparently the rules meant more to him than the message. If I post again on Phono-L, I will be sure to use my full name. As the administrator, can we please put this topic to rest?
