Another approach is to always update the ACl via the "service"  which will then 
have a cached version of what is in the repository. This way, you don't have to 
recreate a new ACL every time, and updates will always be available on the 
cache. But i haven't looked into the most updated code to check if this really 
applicable, so it's more like food for thought.
