PLEASE RE-OPEN THIS BUG REPORT.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE FOPEN() IS THAT IT'S RANDOM. CERTAIN SEQUENCES OF
CHARACTERS IN THE URL CAUSE IT TO FAIL. SIMPLY TESTING ON ONE OR TWO
MACHINES IS NOT SUFFICIENT!!!

THE SIMPLE FACT THAT A DIFFERENT URL CAUSES EVERYTHING TO EITHER WORK
FINE OR FAIL PROVES THIS.

PLEASE RE-OPEN THIS BUG REPORT.

This should be fixed in CVS. Try latest CVS snapshot from
http://snaps.php.net/

Reopen this bug report if problem still exists with latest CVS
snapshot.

(I tried your script and it worked just fine)
