You can use just about any modern DBMS.  If you're concerned about support
why not ask your hosting company up front - I've never had  any problems
finding support for MySQL (although my Oracle, MS and IBM sales reps have
all claimed I would).

The cost is stunning - Oracle list price is something like $15,000 per CPU
for the "Standard Edition" and $40,000 per CPU for "Enterprise Edition".
MS and IBM's offerings are cheaper but still quite expensive.
