I tried the example script found at http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.shmop.php
with the latest CVS of PHP4 and it works just fine for me.

Could you please try the latest CVS snapshot from http://snaps.php.net/
and if it crashes too, generate the GDB backtrace?

Can you also make a backtrace?

shm_write seems to cause a segfault in the module. (Apache 1.3.14, php4.0.3pl1). This
seems to be the same for 4.0.4. Other shmop functions work though. including shm_size,
shm_read, shm_open.

I'll add info as I find more.
