    maybe have another 'Using CFLAGS="-I.."' line in the output -or-
    just say 'Adding to CFLAGS="blabla"' when it happens. 
    
    haven't really thought about that;-) - we could even have one
    'Using CFLAGS=""' whenever we enter a directory?
