It was discussed some time ago, most people participating in this 
discussion suggested PECL would be the ideal place for msession. Why it 
should go into PECL? 1. Because this extension is absolutely 
non-mainstream, 2. You got very annoyed by somebody touching your code. 
For these two reasons ext/srm is not in the PHP CVS. Another pro having 
msession in PECL is that you can release whenever you want and not being 
tied to the slow php release cycle.

Well, if they don't look hard for something like this, they won't need it.
