Derick: Yes, that would be an avenue of approach, but in this case, I only have a single libphp4.so file on the apache server.
There are no "extra" shared libraries floating around. What I will do is give it another try in a couple of days to get the basic compiled ext_skel working again. Then I will share some more notes.
