Well asking the PHP list for help on CSS is not right. You might want to check 
the CSS list or
just view their FAQ/Wiki page http://css-discuss.incutio.com/.

I agree. sticking with CSS for all site design when you've spent so many year 
on tables is a
difficult challenge. Anyone who works with client's deadline has to go with 
what is quick.
Normally the client doesn't care Tables vs. CSS. It would be nice to have the 
time to learn all
the CSS hacks to get you site to layout the same in IE and FF. But who includes 
that much time in
their project budgets.
