Hi Bob, Yeah, i can update a database. my friend does not have php enabled on his free host, so i was going to store the php on my server, it would then ftp to his, download, append the file and then re-upload to his server.
i have tested the download/upload, all works fine. but i am unable to append to the file in the correct place. am i barkign up the wrong tree with this idea and should i just keep trying to convince him to pay for a decent host? mark...
