Joe - lets just leave it as you were being used as many people are on the lists. The News channel is not a blog, and so since you say you were not writing a news item ...

phpng is news, but the information that needs to be added to a news article is the current status of that fork, the possible timescales to a point where people other than the interested developers can use it, and more important the timescale until it MIGHT be available as a release for the general public.

PHP6 was pushed at the time PHP5 was first released and everybody jumped on the bandwagon. Books appeared. The rest is history. phpng is still at the same point so needs to be explained as such. Your item appears to indicate that it is a lot further along that it actually is? Personally I have no way of testing my own php environment with it simply because many of the extensions I rely on have not even been considered to support yet :( Concentrating on a limited target is not helping the cause ...
