Hi Hannes,

Can you elaborate a bit more on why they would be harmful? We would
like to address any concerns you may have. Our binaries (Bitnami /
XAMPP) are kept up to date (sometimes within ours of a new release)
and we support all versions of PHP, including RC. A lot of users,
specially new ones on platforms like OS X and Windows, find pre-built
binaries very useful to get up and running

Best regards

Daniel
