I don't think that it's impossible (although I have been wrong in the
past <G>)

In the dim and distant, I had to move many users away from proprietary
databases to Something More Sensible.  Usually, I wrote a Windows
executable to do it.  And the first thing to look for was, is there an
ODBC driver for the database.

It appears that there is such a driver for Omnis 7, although I now
nothing about O7 or the driver.  Why don't you try there first?
