From everything I know, the #1 impact on search engines is connectedness. And then the ranking of those linking to you. If your site is referred by 100 other websites, you get ranked. If it isn't, it doesn't matter what you have in your <HEAD>. But of course, things change with every Google Dance. Every other Dance or so, I get a bunch of calls and email about people wanting to buy a step van that I sold two years ago! Why do I show up above what must be thousands of vehicle dealers? I attribute that to the 197 links to my site, most of them highly-ranked sites linking to world-class content on a niche computer programming language. So gee whiz, it sounds like the best thing you can do to get highly ranked is to have great content -- go figure! :::: Sell your cleverness, and purchase bewilderment -- Rumi :::: Jan Steinman <http://www.Bytesmiths.com/Item/99-6313-15> The PHP_mySQL group is dedicated to learn more about the PHP_mySQL web database possibilities through group learning.
