Subject: Re: [php_mysql] Having trouble with a site in multiple browsers
Obviously, this is not really a php/mysql question, but a web design/html
question, but I think it certainly bears answering since everyone who
works with php needs to be concerned about html output at one point or
another.
Getting a site to "look right" (usually meaning "look the same") in
different browsers has been a problem practically since WorldWideWeb and
Viola. [Snip]
Your right, further, I know its 'obvious', but some fixes, no matter how you
implement them, cannot over-ride some of the settings of the monitor, such
as a red gun failing.
It does not need to be 100 percent completely accurate all the time, it really
can, and often does depend on how the person receiving the information values
it. Key, very important information often needs no graphics, java scripts, CSS
sheets or a dozen other architectural effects or class files, simple words,
often dark against a light background is all you need. Please don't invest too
much effort into making it 'look good' on every possible set-up because in the
end, for all your work, some dah-dah will turn the contrast this way and the
brightness that way and complain like hell you created a bad page..
