What it is fishing for is a version of phpBB in use on the site that it
can exploit - likely to make posts in the forums creating links to various
websites. There are bots out there that go around fishing for phpBB
installs (and other forum software) that it can exploit for this purpose.

Rest assured, your site isn't the only one getting them.... I had a site
with an install of phpBB that was open to such exploits that we are still
cleaning crap out of.
