The client want's to ensure that if anyone steals the server in his
office, working on a local system, no-one will be able to get at his
data.

I think that, if you have access to the hard disk containing the MySQL
database, then you can get in...  especially as the code is on the same
hard disk, and the code must contain the connection details.

Anyone got any thoughts?
