If you run xmllint on the parameter XML file alone, it will surely say, it is faulty... Maybe it does not check the files individually, but all combined...

Can you think of further problems if no root tag is included (xslt-processing or whatever else?) Bexause incluning para or simpara will clutter the output.
Well, if there is no problem, as you tested, then there will probably be no problem. But external XML entities should be well formed / valid by definition for well formdness / validity of the including XML file, so if (when) the processing tools will really work according to the standard, then thi will be a problem...
BTW.: what about the first hungarian php conference? Did you well?
Yep. We as organizers see some problems, but our audience seemed to enjoy the conference ;) I think it was all right :)
