I have summarized the tasks needed to be done to move the manual install
part to its 'final place'. Currently people are discouraged to modify or
translate the install part files because this task is not finished yet.
This does not help the documentation effort...
Hereby I would like to ask someone from systems@ to do the following:
- move $lang/chapters/install.*.xml files to
$lang/install/*.xml
This step creates the install folder and removes the install
prefix from the filename, since all the files go to the install
folder. This should be done on the phpdoc module and all phpdoc-LANG
modules.
- in case none of the above mentioned install.*.xml files exist
in a language's chapters folder, and an install.xml file exists
there instead, then move it to $lang/install/index.xml
We will take care of any other changes needed to make the documentation
build again. This plan was discussed on the phpdoc mailing list (also
cc-ed), and was accepted, since this is a long standing TODO item, and
actually was a fixed but not completed task long time ago.
Please make the above modifications on the CVS server, so we can keep the
revision history of our files, and continue enhancing the install
instructions.
