Thank you, Philip, for your response and for the links.
I have studied the information that you provided.
I began working on the Romanian translation a month ago. (you can see my
message from 02.05.2007 in the mailing list).
I tried to contact Mr. Paul Dorneanu ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), but I haven't
received a reply. As I understood, he was in charge of the Romanian module.
I will try to contact the other members.

I also spoke (on IRC) to one of the administrators (bjori, as I remember)
and he said that at the moment you do not add new translators until a module
has at least 30% of the files translated. He suggested that I checkout files
anonymously and translate them 'off-line'. I agreed.

My concern is that if somebody decides to help with the Romanian
translation, he will start with the files that I have already translated
'off-line'.
That's why I wanted to announce somehow and let everybody know that I am
working on the translation so that we can coordinate our work.
Of course it would have been easier if I had an account to work direcly with
the module. But it's ok with me.

I will let you know if I get in touch with the former translators of the
Romanian module.

Sincerely,
Simion Onea.

Hello Simion,

We are in the beginning stages of reorganizing the translations so I am not
prepared to add you there at this time. I understand your eagerness to
translate the Romanian translation especially considering how long (over two
years) it's been since it was active (a common problem) but here is some
related information:

   http://news.php.net/php.doc.ro
   http://doc.php.net/php/ro/revcheck.php
   http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/phpdoc-ro/
   http://doc.php.net/php/dochowto/

There are ~7 translators listed for RO currently. Included in the HOWTO is
how to get a user account, which is something I do not believe you have.
Please have a look at the information above and from there we can move
forward. And it would be appreciated if you contacted the "current" RO team
members to see if any are still interested in working on this translation.

Regards,
Philip
