PhD 0.4.2 has been rolled out \o/
Hello,
I've already said it to Christian, but it seems that it was missed again
with the new release.
For next one don't forget to add a PEAR dependency to package
Console_CommandLine that is used by the configure.php script.
PEAR doesn't support platform and PHP version dependent dependencies.
I don't agree at 100% with you Hannes.
Even if full condition is not true (as you said), at least
PEAR_PackageFileManager (PFM) support the platform condition.
Sure, I know package.xml support platform dependent dependencies, but
it cannot be combined with PHP version check.
Yes here I agree with you at 100%. It may be a new request to a future
PEAR_PackageFileManager version.
The current one 1.6.3 is a bit old now (more than one full year).
Maintainers seems to be inactive : this is not a criticism, just a fact !
Why not post a request in this way
Requiring additional package for those who do not need it seem weird.
Of course
Would it be possible to add optional dependency for specific platform?
That would at least give Windows users an indication that they may
need the package before they try running PhD.
I cannot confirm because it was a very long time I've not worked on PFM
due to my decision to let down my active maintainer status.
I'm pretty sure it's not possible with current 1.6.0 API : Certainly a
new request to ask for future API ; Hope we can have a new version in 2009 !
