Hi all,

I have been looking at our wiki app in HEAD. Feature wise it is rather
lacking compared to today's wikis.

I have looked at several wikis. From the list at
http://wikifeatures.wiki.taoriver.net/moin.fcg/WikiEngine I have short
listed 2 possible replacement wikis.

Mediawiki http://wikipedia.sourceforge.net/ - used by wikipedia
Pros:
  * Heaps of features
  * Very active development
Cons:
  * Huge code base
  * Moving target for integration

DokuWiki - http://www.splitbrain.org/dokuwiki
Pros:
  * Solid feature set
  * Optional Spellcheck support via aspell
Cons:
  * Files based storage

Both use different syntax to tavi (our current wiki), so data conversion
is something that needs to be investigated.

If you are a phpgw wiki user or use one of the above wikis, please
comment on this. I think it will be best if the discussion is kept on
the user list.

Cheers

Dave
