Apparently Yahoo has changed their default server or it's not resolving
anymore as before.

This is apparently fixed in Pidgin 2.5.7 but Jaunty comes with 2.5.5. as
you know normally there aren't feature upgrades in stable releases,
specially when an easy workaround exists, so I am not sure this will or
won't be fixed in Jaunty.
