Benjamin Francisoud commented on PIG-32:
----------------------------------------

I think this commit broke compatibility with java 5 :(

For example in PigServer line 281:
{code:java}
catch (ExecException e) {
    throw new IOException("Unable to open iterator for alias: " + id, e);
}
{code}

This constructor is only available in java 6:
* [java 5 IOException
api|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/IOException.html#IOException()]
* [java 6 IOException
api|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/io/IOException.html#IOException(java.lang.String,%20java.lang.Throwable)]

I made the same mistake in PIG-80 ;)
I made my local eclipse use a 1.5 jdk now to avoid this kind of mistakes...

See [pig-user mailing
list|http://www.mail-archive.com/pig-user%40incubator.apache.org/msg00052.html]

details.
