you still attach patches using the "Attach File" link. You can attach as many as you like. Once you feel the latest attached patch is ready to go, you click "Submit Patch".

BUG BUG BUG!!!
I've just submitted a new patch for Pig-114. I clicked submit patch then it came up with a form which has no file attachment. I thought the file thing would be in the next page so I clicked OK but then it's done. I couldn't
attach my file in the flow.

I ended up attaching the file manually. But now it's still weird. If you
look at the list view (see
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa? reset=true&&pid=12310730&updated%3Aprevious=-1w&sorter/ field=updated&sorter/order=DESC),
the "patch info" box is blank. But then when you get inside the issue
(see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIG-114 ) now in "status", it
says "patch available" ?????!!!.

Cheers,
Pi

Owen has now made this workflow change. When you have attached a
patch that you feel is ready to be reviewed for committing, please
click "Submit Patch" in the left nav bar under the "Available
Workflow Actions" heading. You'll also see the you can look at all
issues in the "Patch Available" state now with this filter (linked
off Pig jira dashboard):

reset=true&pid=12310730&status=10002

Let me know if you have questions.

The change to the workflow changes how the "Patch Available"
state is manifested in emails sent by Jira to this list.
Having Hadoop and Pig use the same workflow allows reuse and
shared maintenance of the patch process scripts.

May be I missed something but there is already a "Patch Available"
check box in pig jiras ?!

I'd like to implement a automatic patch testing process
for Pig akin
to Hadoop's, described here:
http://developer.yahoo.com/blogs/hadoop/2007/12/
if_it_hurts_automate_it_1.html

In order to share the scripts that are used by Hadoop, it would be
helpful to have the same Jira workflow as Hadoop. Can we
change the
workflow to include a "Patch Available" state between Open and
Resolved states?

Olga, as Pig's Jira Administrator, will have to do this.
