no, it's a bug. Pilerimport in older versions handled the date
improperly.
However it's fixed in the master branch, and the correct behaviour for
pilerimport to use the Date header. Also note that the parser is now
improved to detect more date formats.
And about encryption: I have set encrypt_messages=0 in
/usr/local/etc/piler.conf, yet I cannot read any of the files under
/var/piler/store/00/.../.../400000005306342c0a310c040025742d00be.m
All these files look very encrypted. Aren't these files supposed to
be like the files in our Maildirs or postfix queues?
this settings is not supposed to be toggled back and forth. You should
decide whether you want your emails to be encrypted (in this case use
the default value) or not (then set it to 0), but after you have
decided
don't change it. Since you were encrypting emails I'd suggest keep it
that way.
I think this option causes confusion, so probably I'll remove it (not
sure yet).
