actually, we are trying to test the piler VM. We would like to configure our postfix mailserver, that it's going to forward every mail to the piler host. What I'd like to know is: how does piler know its mailaddress to receive the mails from our mailsystem? As far as I see, there is no postfix or anything installed on the vm, right?
We are using an address like [email protected]
piler.our.domain.nl is the dns name of the piler machine, and therefore the mails are delivered on that machine. Piler itself listens on port 25, and basically accepts whater you attempt to deliver.
