Debian +MariaDB

Hello List ,

I was checking  both piler and mailarchiva and i like piler more because it use sphinx + sql.

What i did not like , is the use of mysql instead of mariadb (since oracle is very very unpredicted...)

So , as i am a new here , 3 question please ,

1. I would like to ask if there is any howto for installing Piler with mariadb / postgresql on debian / freebsd  systems ?
2. If there a way to define to archive only outbound / inbound / both ?

3. How do i backup the systems' there is any avail script or i need to write one an my on ?
