I agree, that's pretty unfortunate, though I don't think it's piler's fault.
We have learned (from some years of Mailarchiva experience as mentioned), that using Milter is much more reliable compared to the forwarding method.
I believe that the usual smtp approach is a pretty battle tested.
Would be great (at least from our perspective ;) if you may consider implementing this feature.
we'll see. Just thinking loud, is it possible to install such a milter (perhaps a milter proxy [or kind]) on the mail server which relays messages to the remote host where piler is sitting? Janos
