Even after help from many subscribers I am still having trouble connecting my
palm professional to a sun ultra1.
I have the serial cable connected to serial A on the sun and I am running the
vt100 program. I can cat /etc/hosts to /dev/term/a. As long as I have the
vt100 program on the palm set to 9600 that works fine. I am not able to get any
response going the other direction. I have tried using ptelnet without too much
luck. This morning I was able to get a login prompt from the Sun by starting
ttymon on the serial A port with vt100 running. When I tried to log in I got an
error from the ttymon program stating that there was contention for the port.
Any ideas?
